Constant

Stamm 18b1.  Chestnut, born 1972, approved 1975.  Dr. Rossow's stallion book describes Constant as "an expressive sire with good lines, good face...Strong, flexible musculature... Strong bone...and ground covering strides...Good temperament and willingness to work.  Great success as an open (S) jumper.  Extremely tight with front end, brilliant with knees.  Produce: Offspring are large framed horses that can jump and have long, efficient strides.  Generally of his type."  Constant was a successful international showjumper under both Dr. Michael Ruping and Hans-Gunther Winkler.  He was then sold to Switzerland where he won the Swiss Regional Cup ridden by G. Zuger.  Constant was also a popular stallion in Holsteiner breeding.

Ella

Stamm 18b1.  Ella had six foals, including three stallion sons.  Her first foal was the stallion Constant, followed by the stallion Tarento (Tumbled xx).  Tarento, also known as Torbozo, sired the international jumper Poker ridden by Markus Beerbaum.  Her other stallion son was Randers (Ronald).  Her daughter Ulla (Corde) produced the stallions Serrano (Sympatico) and Quantum (Quidam de Revel).  Ella's daughter Nato is the granddam of the stallions Cool Man (Contender) and Sandos (Silbersee).

Cor de la Bryére

The legendary Selle Francais stallion that made an unbelievable mark on the Holsteiner breed.  Known for his tight, spectacular jumping style with great bascule.  Over thirty approved sons and two hundred approved daughters!  Although he is most well-known for his jumping progeny, he also produced dressage horses (including the individual 1988 Olympic silver medalist Corlandus).  Dr. Rossow says: "Description: "Corde" is a stallion with great presence, good medium frame and energetic masculine expression.  Good face with fabulous, quiet eye, rather small ears...good shoulder...  Good front legs...Good basic gaits.  Marvelous riding horse qualities.  Spectacular jumper with scope, tight with front end, bascule and sharp with knees.  Produce: Corde is a top sire.  Offspring usually mirror his type with good frame and size.  Good basic gaits...  Get have been very successful in all disciplines to extent that for years he has been listed among the top German sires, based on the winnings of his offspring.  His heritage of rideability, handiness, form and bascule over fences aided in bringing the Holsteiner breed to even greater international importance.  Sired many good stallions and mares for the breed.  Unfortunately, because of their rideability, many good daughters went into competition and were not bred."  By the famous Thoroughbred Rantzau who goes back to Dark Ronald.  On his dam's side appears the great French jumper sire Furioso.  An inimitable force in Holsteiner breeding.
