BACKGROUND
We acquired Tiny as a weanling in 2003. She is from Cacique's first foal crop, and we knew we wanted her bloodlines in our breeding program - her stunning good looks didn't hurt either!
Tiny was green-broke in the summer of 2006 then turned out again for a year until coming back to work in summer 2007 and competing in the 2008 show season. Tiny is light and easy to ride - naturally forward but not hot or spooky - she's not afraid of anything. She is without a doubt one of the most intelligent horses I have ever trained. We also began free-jumping Tiny as a three-year-old and she blew us away with her ability! She is so calm and collected while jumping, with great form and huge scope. With all of her dapples and chrome, she always turns heads in the show rings!
Tiny is a very versatile athlete, successfully competing in dressage but also a talented jumper. She is producing equally versatile offspring, and every year it is a tough decision if we want to aim for a dressage horse or a jumper!
At the September 2011 GOV inspections, Tiny Dancer was named Non-Oldenburg Mare of Distinction and accepted into the Main Mare Book! She scored the following: Breed and sex type - 8, Quality of conformation - 7, Correctness of gaits - 7, Impulsion and elasticity (trot) - 8, Walk - 7, General impression and development - 8.
At the October 2006 AHHA inspections, Tiny Dancer was SITE CHAMPION mare!! She received the elite designation of MAIN MARE PREMIUM SELECT due to her total score of 52 bonits! Her bonits are as follows: Type - 8; Topline - 8; Front Legs - 6; Hind Legs - 7; Walk - 8; Trot - 8; Canter - 7. Tiny also participated in the optional mare free-jumping. She showed her excellent form and fluid jumping style to receive scores of: 8 - Technique; 7 - Scope; 7 - Willingness
At the 2003 AHHA inspections, Tiny Dancer was scored a PREMIUM FOAL with scores of 7 for conformation and 8 for movement!
Tiny is 16.2 and very refined and elegant. |
SHOW RESULTS
Click here for pictures of Tiny in the show ring in 2008! She scored 66.4% at only her second show and qualified for 2008 Region 9 ABIC Championships at Training Level! We feel it's important to evaluate our mares through performance as well as the breeding shed, so Tiny was started under saddle and shown for a year in dressage. She competed like a seasoned pro and was very easy to take to shows. The judges were just as impressed with her movement as we were with her great rideability, and she frequently scored 8s for gaits. We did not take Tiny to the ABIC Championships since it was in Oklahoma that year. However, her great attitude and winning ways during the competition year left us with no doubt that she has the kind of talent and rideability we wanted in our breeding program, and she has now settled in to life as a broodmare. |
