Aljano / Lorentin I / Lagos

Solei is a mare who needs no introduction! Imported by Rebecca Rigdon-Blake as a young mare, she quickly rose through the ranks all the way to Grand Prix. Her accomplishments are too numerous to list - several Regional Championships through Intermediare, top rankings in National Horse of the Year awards, and scores in excess of 70% through Grand Prix. Solei was retired from the showring in 2014 due to injury, and we were honored to have the opportunity to carry on her tremendous talent to future generations by adding her to our breeding program. Solei produced her first foal in 2016, a gorgeous filly by Sir Gregory. Sadly, we lost Solei to a tragic pasture accident in 2017. Through amazing veterinary advances, we were able to complete an embryo transfer using the ICSI procedure, which produced a truly remarkable colt in December 2017. Sadly, it was not meant to be and we lost her colt in early 2018.  We are heartbroken not to have more opportunities for Solei to pass on her athleticism, grace, and beauty, but we treasure the time we had with Solei and Vanya, and are thankful for her filly Sacre Solei to carry on her legacy.
